This elegant torch is a stunning combination of exquisitely carved and polished natural black chalcedony with natural and raw amethystine silica drusy. This piece is a study in textural contrasts.

Steve Walters, the renowned lapidary artist, carved the elegantly folding envelope of black chalcedony; if you look closely you can see the different polishes he has finished each half of the piece with. One has a glossy sheen, the other has a leathery texture. The chalcedony wraps around an elegantly shaped piece of natural silicate drusy, adding an additional and dramatically different texture. The “hint of amethyst” gives it a lovely lavender hue. The piece is perfectly finished with a single exceptional diamond in a platinum setting.

The hand-fabricated 18kt mounting allows this piece to be worn as a brooch, or hung from a wide variety of necklaces (including pearls).

ART Guyon designed this exceptional brooch and pendant and it was crafted by Dalan Hargrave. The piece measures approximately 60mm by 15mm.
