“Bird of Paradise” is as much a piece of art as a piece of jewelry, and it is a testimony to the storied jewelry history of Barcelona, Spain. The delicate plumage, the cascading tailfeathers, and the perfectly arched neck all add up to a finely detailed and exquisitely executed piece of jewelry.

This feathered fantasy is a brooch crafted in richly colored 18kt gold. It features both plique a jour enamel and basse taille enamel, and both techniques were executed in traditionally preferred hot-glass enamel instead of the modern cool and quick versions. Approximately 0.85ct of fine diamonds accent the wings and tailfeathers, and the crown of plumage is finished with small lapis lazuli accents.

“Bird of Paradise” was crafted by renowned master Antoni Farré of Barcelona, Spain, and it was featured in a book dedicated to his exceptional body of work.
