Mahenge Spinel Honeycomb Bracelet

$12,200.00

The Honeycomb Bracelet dresses up the idea of the everyday bracelet. Exquisitely wrought engraved details finish every visible surface, and the gemstones and diamonds are framed in gorgeous starbursts. This Honeycomb Bracelet features bright pink Mahenge Spinels from Tanzania.

  • 1.64ct Mahenge Spinels
  • 0.28ct Diamonds
  • 18kt Gold
  • approximately 7.5" long, 7mm across
  • made in Italy by Cynthia Scott Jewelry

ABOUT THE GEMSTONE

Spinel is a gorgeous family of gemstones, long one of my personal favorite, which is finally getting its due in terms of popularity. While it has been known and used for centuries, fine pink and red spinels were incorrectly identified as rubies. One of the most famous rubies in the world (the Black Prince Ruby, which resides in Great Britain's Imperial State Crown) turned out to be an exceptional spinel!

Fine quality gems are bright and lively, and the colors are not enhanced. This intensely colored hot pink spinel was mined in Tanzania, which is famous for its especially lively stones in vivid and saturated colors.

ABOUT THE TECHNIQUE

This piece of jewelry was hand-fabricated and hand-engraved by master goldsmiths in Florence, Italy. Click Here for more information on Renaissance Style Florentine Engraving.
