6.56ct Blue Zircon Ring

$11,800.00

Zircons of all colors are among my favorite gemstones to work with, and this lively Cambodian Blue Zircon is no exception to that rule. This gemstone was cut to maximize zircon's inherent brilliance, and the result is absolutely scintillating! This ring is a classic style, and will be an elegant and easy to wear addition to any jewelry wardrobe.

  • 6.56ct Cambodian Blue Zircon
  • 0.75ct Diamonds
  • 18kt Gold and Platinum
  • approximately 10mm across at widest point
  • ring size 5.75
  • made in the USA by Cynthia Scott Jewelry

ABOUT THE GEMSTONE

Zircons are among the most misunderstood of gemstones, which is a shame as they make exceptionally beautiful jewelry. Zircons are not the same as cubic zirconia (though even some jewelers will incorrectly use the names interchangeably). Zircons are mined gemstones, and in fact scientists have identified some Australian zircons as being the oldest known mineral on earth.

Zircons are available in a range of colors, and they are famed and treasured for their exceptional display of fire. Zircons are off-the-charts brilliant, and wearing a really well-cut example is most easily described as being similar to wearing a disco ball! Blue Zircons are among the traditional birthstone options for the month of December.
