This striking wearable sculpture features a richly carved carnelian by renowned American lapidary artist Steve Walters. The carving reveals flowing, flame-like forms drawn from the naturally variegated color of the stone, allowing the warm tones of the carnelian to unfold with remarkable depth and movement.
A vivid chrome diopside and a single diamond are nestled within the carving, adding points of brilliance and color. A removable Tahitian pearl drop introduces graceful movement, enhancing the sculptural presence of the piece.
The hand-fabricated 18k gold and platinum mounting allows the jewel to be worn as a brooch or suspended as a pendant from a variety of necklaces, including pearls. Two integrated receivers are built into the design to accommodate additional drops. Designed by ART Guyon, the piece reflects a thoughtful dialogue between carved gemstone and finely executed metalwork.
